MiHaven Care opens Lily Street SDA project

This has been years in the making and is well overdue. It’s simply not OK that people living with a disability are housed in Aged Care facilities and homes that are not fit for purpose. MiHaven Care has now completely transformed the local SDA Housing sector and will continue to roll out these beautiful homes tailored to each residents needs.

We are so proud to have officially opened our first purpose-built SDA home at 30 Lily Street. This project substantially raises the quality and fit-for-purpose nature of housing for the SDA sector in Cairns. Eligible NDIS participants are able to reside in a MiHaven Care built and managed property, dramatically improving the standard of living for residents.

We have over $25 million funding committed to building more SDA MiHaven Care homes in Cairns and this will be a prime focus for the next three years. Our Lily Street homes are 100% pre-committed by SDA approved participants. We are excited as we set a goal July last year to build the first SDA home in Cairns by November 2020 and we made it a few weeks before our target date. We now have 359 Severin Street under construction, with two more SDA homes, aiming to complete by March next year. There is still availability in these two houses for new SDA approved participants. I encourage anyone interested to register your interest below.
